Thomas Lee Lane, age 95 of Oxford died Saturday, December 12, 2020 at the State Veterans Home in Oxford.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at Woodlawn Cemetery in Grenada, Mississippi with Bro. Fletcher Moorman officiating.
Thomas was born on January 30, 1925 in Cascilla, Mississippi and was the son of the late of Roman Knott Lane and Lattra Howell Lane.
Thomas graduated from Mississippi State with a Bachelors Degree in Animal Health Science and worked as selling animal health products. He was a member the Lakewood Methodist Church in Grenada. Thomas was a veteran, serving in the U.S. Marine Corps as a Corporal during World War II and in the U.S. Army as a First Lieutenant during the Korean Conflict.
Thomas was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Murlee Naron Lane.
He is survived by two daughters, Emily Lane of Terry, and Susan Kizer (Jim) of Hernando; two sisters, Agnes Porfilio of Jacksonville, Florida and Frances Edwards of Flowood; two grandchildren, Lane Carter (Robert) and Ben Kizer (Darci); six great-grandchildren, Zack Carter, Graham Carter, Addie Kate Carter, Kyleigh Carter, Ella Kizer and Davis Kizer; and two special friends, John Morrow and Dora Wolfe.
Mortimer National Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
