Dorothy Ann Evans, age 85 of Grenada died Sunday, January 3, 2021 at her home.

Due to COVID-19 precautions, graveside services will be limited to immediate family members. The graveside service will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, January 5th at the Philadelphia Baptist Church Cemetery in Webster County.

Dorothy was born on July 23, 1935 in Bolivar County and was the daughter of the late Wade and Effie Marter Peeples.

Dorothy was employed by the Mississippi Department of Corrections as a Records Officer. She attended Delta State University. Dorothy was a member of the Providence Baptist Church .

She is survived by her son, Jimmy Peeples and his wife, Betty, of Grenada and three sisters, Nell McGee, Gay Sultan, and Reta Williams and her husband, Francis, all of Grenada.

The family would like to express their sincere appreciation for the loving care provided by the staff of Halcyon Hospice.

Memorials may be made to the Providence Baptist Church Building Fund.
